Mukayiranga Solange Foundation – Remedial Observation Visit at GS Kimisange

In partnership with GS Kimisange, Mukayiranga Solange Foundation (MS Foundation) conducted a monitoring visit on March 06, 2026, to two lower primary classes (P1 and P2). The purpose of the visit was to observe how the Remedial Programme is being implemented in Kinyarwanda lessons and to explore ways the Foundation can continue strengthening collaboration with teachers to ensure the program achieves its intended goals.

The Remedial Programme is specifically designed to support slow learners and low-performing students, helping them improve their foundational literacy skills and progress successfully from one learning level to the next. The initiative focuses on ensuring that children who face learning challenges receive the additional support they need to catch up with their peers and build confidence in their academic journey.

During the visit, Mukayiranga Solange Foundation appreciated the overall implementation of the remedial program. The Foundation also valued the constructive discussions held with the observed teachers and the school headteacher, which focused on enhancing collaboration and refining strategies to maximize the program’s impact.

Moving forward, MS Foundation remains committed to working closely with the school and its partners to continuously improve the remedial initiative, with a strong emphasis on the principle of leaving no child behind. The goal is to ensure that every child acquires the knowledge and competencies required at their grade level, in alignment with the national curriculum.
